You'd Be So Nice to Come Home To
MaxJazz
On You'd Be So Nice to Come Home To, Hitt is heard on piano and vocals and is backed by Tom Kennedy, bass; Jeff Hamilton, drum; Todd Strait, drum; Scott Alberici, clarinet; Rick Haydon, guitar; and Ray Kennedy, piano. The recording explores 15 compositions (mostly standards) and excellent musicianship is displayed throughout. Hitt is at the top of her form on Irving Berlin's "What'll I Do," and Will Hudson's "Moonglow." Duke Ellington's "In a Mellowtone" finds Alberici's swinging obbligatos behind Hitt's swinging lyricism.
