Fly Me to the Moon
Diva
Grzanna is a saxophonist and vocalist, and on this traditional release she divides her responsibilities fairly evenly, singing on seven numbers and playing saxophone on eight. She's a competent saxophonist and I prefer the stories she tells on her horn to those she sings. She has the occasional "little girl" intonation and her scatting is so-so. The vocal numbers are largely standards, with two originals by Suzanne. Pianist David Hazeltine comps nicely throughout.
