Suave singer-songwriter Larry Alexander wrote eight originals of the 13 tracks on this Swiss-produced album, his love-songs rich with thoughtful lyrics. His satiny delivery on "If You Go Away" and "There I've Said It Again" call to mind the style of Mark Murphy. Alexander's urban update on "Lush Life" segues synthesizers and jazz-rap preachin'. In contrast, a full orchestra augments "My Ship" and "Five Minutes More." Pianist-brother Monty Alexander is featured on five tracks; Thierry Lang guests on another. Top-quality writing and singing.
